What are episode downloads?
Episode downloads is a term used to compare how many downloads each of your episodes has.
Why do episode downloads matter?
Episode-by-episode downloads are a great metric to help you internally benchmark the success of your episodes.
We suggest noting which episode performed the highest when comparing the downloads of each of your episodes. Then, consider various factors that may have contributed to the success of the episode, including:
- The channels and types of content used to promote the episode
- The content's timeliness and relevance
- The guest's influence (how large their platform is, how dedicated their following is, etc;)
- The publishing time
- The episode title
For future episodes, try to exceed your highest-performing episode by emulating the reasons that made it so popular.
